Optical Character Recognition (OCR) Supported Languages

Vision-e Scan offers three distinct approaches for OCR services:

• OCR on the users phone
• OCR on our USA AWS processing service using Abbyy finereader engine combined with our proprietary algorithms supporting 20 languages.
• OCR on our EU servers for Global Enterprise OCR with machine learning for better accuracy supporting over 40 languages.

OCR service on the users phone is provided by Apple and Google's technology. Apple and Google provides support for the following languages:

• English (en-US)
• French (fr-FR)
• Italian (it-IT)
• German (de-DE)
• Spanish (es-ES)
• Portuguese (pt-BR)

Other than these language, if you are seeking other language support, we would encourage you to try the solution. It has been reported to us by Salesforce customers that their device settings have provide good OCR results beyond the documented supported languages.
