Outlook

The Scan app's Outlook integration enables you to save scans as contacts in Microsoft Outlook. After scanning a business card, QR code, NFC card, or event badge, users can choose to save the scanned information as a contact in Microsoft Outlook.

Note: A user with admin privileges must enable the 'Save to MS Outlook' feature using the Mobile Scan Builder in Salesforce.



Save to Outlook


Log in to Outlook:

  • From the Main Menu, select the Login Menu.
  • From the Integrations screen, log in to Microsoft Outlook.
  • Note: If the option to sign in to Outlook isn't available. Skip this step.

Scan:

  • Scan the business card, QR code, NFC card, or event badge containing the contact information. Follow the prompts on your device to proceed to the OCR (Optical Character Recognition) results.

Review OCR Results:

  • Carefully review the OCR results displayed on your device for any inaccuracies. You can correct any errors directly on this screen. Once satisfied, tap the "Continue" arrow, at the top right of the screen, to move to the Destination screen.

Save in Outlook:

  • On the Destination screen, select the "Save in Outlook" option. A new contact entry will be created in Outlook.
  • Note: If you are not currently logged into Outlook, you will be prompted to sign in. Before you can save the contact.

When finished, tap the "Home" icon at the bottom of the screen to return to the Home screen.
