Customizing Page Layouts with the Mobile Scan Builder

Custom Page Layouts

In the Mobile Scan Builder, you can activate custom page layouts for the Lead and Contact OCR results pages, as well as for the Task, Event, and Case enhancements.

CUSTOM LAYOUTS (Leads & Contacts)

ENHANCEMENTS (Tasks, Events, and Cases)

Activating custom page layouts in the Scan app also turns on the Inline update feature on the OCR Results screen.

Note: When custom page layouts are enabled, Scan app users will not be able to process scans using the on-device OCR when offline. In such cases, users need to send scans to the offline queue and then send them to the Scanning Queue when they are online again.

Accessing the Mobile Scan Builder can be accomplished in three steps:

  1. Navigate to the App Launcher.
  2. Search for "Mobile Scan Builder".
  3. Choose Mobile Scan Builder - Lightning or Mobile Scan Builder.

We've also included a walkthrough on how to find the Mobile Scan Builder below.

Creating Custom Page Layouts

The page layouts for each screen are located in their respective tabs. For example, the page layout for Leads can be found under the ‘Lead’ tab and here, you can add or remove fields from each page.

-Fields available to add to the page layout are listed under the 'Available' list. Select fields to add to the page.

-Fields in the ‘Selected’ list are the active fields on the page. They can be removed or rearranged in the page layout.

Note: When customizing page layouts, be sure to include all required fields; otherwise, it could affect record creation.
