Duplicate Handling in the Scan App

The Vision-e Scan application applies the duplicate rule(s) from 'Scanning Settings' when users submit an entry to the 'Scanning Queue.' For the creation of a Lead or Contact using the 'Continue to OCR' option, the app uses your organization's Salesforce duplicate rules.

Depending on your organization's duplicate rules, a warning message will appear when a user attempts to create a Lead or Contact in the Scan application.

Administrators can manage whether users can generate duplicate Salesforce Contacts or Leads within the Scan application by using their organization's Salesforce duplicate rules.
