Dependent Field Support

The Scan app now supports dependent fields! Using the Mobile Scan Builder, you can add controlling and dependent fields to the Lead and Contact page layouts. The values in the dependent fields will be managed according to your organization's Salesforce field dependency settings.

Dependent Fields in the Scan App

In the Scan app, dependent fields will appear like standard fields. Users won't be able to enter a value for the dependent field until they have selected a value for the parent field.

When a value is selected for the controlling field users will then be able to input a value for the dependent field. The Scan app will show values for the dependent field based on your Salesforce field dependency settings.
